Mettā, learning to love ourselves, connects to joy and to great openings—some of the deepest truths. When we practice mettā, we're not creating love or joy, we are uncovering our nature that’s already right here. We're not collecting goodness points that we gather up to become good, we’re uncovering and reconnecting with the innate goodness that is our deepest nature. And as we accept ourselves, we can accept others. As we make more room in ourselves for all of our humanness—there becomes more space, more room, for others to also be human.

Qigong and Meditation: Practices for Healing and Awakening
5 CE Credits. Health in the body and clarity in our meditation increase as energy flows more freely through the spine. On this daylong retreat we will learn five simple qigong movements that awaken energetic wholeness in the spine and the body. We will experience how awakening the spine through qigong is a valuable support and complement to mindfulness meditation. Together, the two practices work to release spinal stagnation and open a profound circulation of universal energy, promoting wellbeing in body and mind.
