"One thing I love about this practice is that whatever needs to show up shows up. If there's something that needs to be attended to or cared for, there's always space. Everything is welcome. Cultivating equanimity gives us the opportunity to be present for any type of experience in our life, for any range of experiences, independent of the conditions. The cultivation of the bramavihāras—the qualities of the heart that sustain and nourish us—also gives us an orientation of how we can connect with ourselves and others in a way that is caring, loving, and respectful."

Finding Refuge, Finding Home: A Retreat in Nature

In the storms of our lives we need refuge, nourishment, and support—a place to replenish our tired bodies and troubled hearts. When the Buddha taught meditation, his first instruction was to sit under a tree. Together, we will practice in the age-old tradition of being outside in the company of the natural world. We will explore tapping into the stillness and dynamism that surrounds us in nature, which teaches us about balance and delight as refuge in our daily lives.

Uncovering the Luminous Gold Within: BIPOC Mettā Retreat

Open to all self-identified BIPOC. There is a rich repository of deep peace and ease that resides within the heart. Mettā, the practice of lovingkindness, brings to awareness the messages of conditioning that cloak the inner sacredness of our being. Mettā transforms the heart into a sanctuary by which we are strengthened to stay lovingly engaged with the tumultuous tides of life. This retreat offers silent and guided meditation, Dharma talks, movement meditation, and restful time to nourish the body and heal the heart.
