Whatever we frequently think about and dwell upon becomes the shape of our mind,” the Buddha said. The shape of our mind shapes our world of experience. So what’s in your mind? Do you pay attention? Do you inquire? If our minds are closed, we can’t even see what imprisons us! If our hearts are closed, we can’t even feel the immeasurable joy when it arises. And if we can’t let go into peace, lovingkindness, joy, and forgiveness, we stay holding on to our disappointments and our suffering. But there is another side, there is an opening, when we really understand that forgiveness is the pathway to purification.
