We need to have something besides the seeing of the suffering—we need the resolve to stay, to settle with it. I see the dukkha, I see how I am creating my own suffering. If we push too hard to get rid of it, we get entangled in the story, but if we don't do anything, we sink into this vortex about who and what we are! Like canoes that glide through the water, we need a way to move through that which we are perceiving in the present moment, which is constantly changing. The more we remain steady, the more we can begin to see where the suffering is coming from.
