It doesn't matter where we start, the Dharma will help us lighten our load. It does not change the load, we just have something else to shift our attention to. And cultivating that wise attention on things that are life-giving—things that help us see the truth about the present moment—that is what’s going to free our minds and make the burden lighter. What we're cultivating as practitioners is the capacity to see beyond the limitations of the mind to a world that exists simultaneously with this difficulty. That is quite freeing.
