Rejuvenation, Relaxation, Resilience: Gifts of Mindfulness

In a safe environment like a retreat, we are open, vulnerable, and happy to unfold into our luminous Buddha nature. But often, when we return home and face the struggles and stresses of our daily life, we forget the gifts of mindfulness in helping us get through these times. We forget our relaxed body, our rejuvenated heart, and the resilient qualities we cultivated during retreat. Throughout this daylong, we will use science-backed resilience strategies to regain our capacity to meet challenges with courage and to deepen our self-compassion. Benefits of a resilient nervous system may include a more joyful heart, improved sleep, improved digestion, happier relationships, and deeper meditations. As we learn to cultivate a relaxed mind and an open heart, we become more present for our friends, family, and community and we experience a greater sense of connection, ease, and belonging. Our time together will include periods of teaching, guided and moving meditation, discussion, and Q&A.
