Tanzanite enjoys serving as a mindfulness mentor, facilitator, and teacher for young people and adults. Tanzanite has spent many years working with people from all different cultural and economic backgrounds, with all levels of ability and disability in the classroom and in outdoor education.
Lawrence Schuessler has spent the past 25+ years guiding & facilitating people in wild spaces. Lawrence stumbled into meditation when he saw the Dali Lama speak at an event. Lawrence has completed the Spirit Rock Meditation Center Advanced Practitioner Program, completed the Inward Bound Teacher Training program.

Parenting by its very nature is both beautiful and challenging. Some of the deepest challenges in parenting come from within our own minds and hearts as we navigate the constant change, uncertainty, and activating of our own childhood traumas. This four-part offering aims to be a safe space for parents to meditate, rest, share from the heart, and learn practical mindfulness and self-compassion practices to support their lives as people and as parents.

In this five-week series, learn how to meditate, relax deeply, speak your truth, and develop your mind—all while hanging out with other great people your age. Through the practices of mindfulness, we take time to reconnect to ourselves in order to experience peace and compassion. Classes will include movement, community-building games, meditation instruction, and council—a practice of witnessing the group’s collective wisdom. This Spring series is offered to all tweens in Middle School.
