Dr. Ahmed’s practice is informed by Islam, Ifa, Buddhism and Indigenous rituals. She is a graduate of and former apprentice teacher for the Practice in Transformative Action (PiTA) program and she is also a Professor of Politics at St. Mary’s College, conducting research on contemplative practices within social justice movements.
