Awe and Mystery; Surrendering to Dharma

Ashley Sharp

When we do meditation, that’s a type of yoga—not in the sense of a body shape, but as a method that leads to results. Sri Nisargadatta said, “All the yogas, whatever their source and character, have only one aim: to save you from the calamity of separate existence.” The yoga of Dharma practice, postures, and meditation are all methods to save you from the sense of separateness. When we allow our practice to bring us into a space of awe and mystery, we’re surrendering our sense of a separate existence.
