Interdependence is the ongoing recognition that we are not separate from other beings or the world around us. Life is a web of infinite relationships. This is conveyed in the yogic teachings as a vast net with a reflective jewel at every juncture of the net. As practitioners and teachers of yoga, we remember our place in the lineage of teachers who have come before us and that our teachings rely on our students, our community, and the broader yoga community. This awareness is the antidote to needing to know it all, competing with other teachers or coveting our students.
