Introduction to the Nine Bodies Insight

The Nine Bodies teaching presents a unified map of the various capacities of consciousness, which are often only partially recognized (or completely unrecognized), even among long-term practitioners. The Nine Bodies Insight practice explores the nature of consciousness itself and utilizes this map to balance, refine, and empower our Insight Meditation practice. The day of practice will include brief orienting talks, detailed guided meditations, walking/moving meditation, and time for sharing and response. The primary method of teaching will be through guided meditations including the Arriving Sequence, the Physical Body, the Vital Body, the Emotional Body, and the Etheric Body. There will be an emphasis on grounding, relaxation, and receiving the felt-sense in the present moment as we explore these natural capacities of consciousness. This day retreat is appropriate for people at all levels of meditation experience. No background with the Nine Bodies Insight practice method is required.
