there is a tiny gap called 'now.' Over time we learn to expand that gap."

Monday Night Dharma Talk & Meditation with Jack Kornfield & Friends

Spirit Rock's Monday Night Dharma Talk and Meditation program is open to all and meets every Monday night from 7:15 – 9:15pm in the Community Meditation Center. Jack Kornfield began this weekly practice and gathering over 33 years ago to introduce the practices of awareness and compassion that are the heart of Buddhist teachings. The evening mixes periods of meditative sitting with dharma talks and is appropriate for beginning and experienced students alike and is a great way to find a little peace and quiet in which to sustain you into your week. Come join and experience this special tradition.

Fee: $15 - 30 sliding scale.

The evening program is also available through our livestream at: Spirit Rock Live: Monday Nights with Jack Kornfield & Friends. Fee: $0 - 108 sliding scale

*Ridesharing is required on noted evenings: Cars with less than 3 people will be asked to pay a $10 non-carpooling fee. Visit our Monday Night ridesharing bulletin board Ridesharing Monday Night to look for or offer a ride. On nights when our founding teacher, Jack Kornfield, speaks the Community Meditation Center typically fills up and reaches capacity and so anyone that arrives after this point will be able to participate by viewing the livestream in our West and East Halls.

Please do not pass the wooden gate and prayer wheel or enter into the residential retreat area. Thank you for respecting the privacy of the retreat container. Program fees and parking fees are waived for volunteers. We especially need people who can help clean after each week's class from 9:15 - 9:45pm. Tasks include dust-mopping the floor, taking out the trash/recycling/compost, putting chairs away, straightening the hall, etc. To volunteer simply arrive 45 minutes early or let our Event Coordinator know that you can stay 30 minutes after class to help with clean up. Please contact us at: Volunteering@spiritrock.org for questions about volunteering.

Are you new to meditation and Spirit Rock? Join us for our free weekly Community Welcome Program Mondays 6:15 - 7:00pm to learn about how to begin your practice.

We look forward to seeing you!
