Thomas Davis

Thomas Davis is a Mindful Awareness practitioner who emerged from the Contemplative Faith Community, where he served as a Lay Minister for 12 years. His orientation to the Theravadan tradition of Vipassana began at the East Bay Meditation Center in 2012. In 2017, Thomas graduated from the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leader Training program and The Sati Center Buddhist Chaplaincy Training. He is one of the Spirit Rock Community Welcome Teachers for the Monday Night Dharma program, which offers meditation guidance to new practitioners. Thomas is a co-founder and teacher at Insight Richmond (www.insightrichmond.com), a growing and diverse community where Vipassana meditation, Dharma exploration, and opportunities for Inclusive Community Building are offered and practiced. Additionally, he teaches at The East Bay Meditation Center and Alameda Sangha as a visiting teacher.

Thomas is also actively engaged in Spiritual Care Service at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland where his Chaplaincy and Compassion practice finds expression.

Thomas enjoys bringing a creative passion for exploring, understanding, and integrating the principles of the Dharma into the unique and practical aspects of our lives.
