Teresa LaMendola Kabat-Zinn

Teresa LaMendola Kabat-Zinn, M.A., is a counselor, early childhood educator and mindfulness teacher who specializes in bringing mindfulness into the everyday lives of parents. Teresa has worked as an early childhood educator for eight years and spent five years working with autistic children and their families. She has been a teacher in private, public, and charter school settings. Teresa has also provided educational consulting and extensive parent training. Teresa co-developed and taught a curriculum of Mindfulness skills for parents of Autistic Children at Stanford's Lucile Packard Center. Most recently, she developed and taught an in-depth mindfulness training and curriculum specifically for mothers of children with ASD as part of a long-term study on stress and cell aging at the University of California San Francisco. Teresa lives in the East Bay with her husband and two children.
