Ayya Ānandabodhī has lived and practiced as a Buddhist nun for over 30 years. Ayya brings together her training in the Thai Forest tradition with the contemporary Bhikkhunī lineage, which has its roots in ancient India and its branches and fruits in the modern world.

Santacitta Bhikkhuni trained as a nun in England and Asia, primarily in the lineage of Ajahn Chah, and has also received teachings in the Shechen lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. She is committed to our planet as a living being and resides at Aloka Earth Room, currently in San Rafael, California.

Ven. Dhammadīpā began Buddhist practice in 1987 and was ordained in the Sōtō Zen tradition in 2007. She later embraced the Theravāda Forest Tradition, joining Aloka Vihāra in 2017 and beginning sāmaṇerī training in 2018. A Dharma heir in the Suzuki Roshi lineage, she guides Dhamma-dipa.com, teaches in English and Spanish, and is a trained interfaith chaplain.
