Teacher

Eugene is the founding teacher of San Francisco Insight. He is a senior teacher on the Spirit Rock teacher council. Eugene’s teaching is influenced by Theravada, Zen and Tibetan practice. He is also a Diamond Approach teacher. He’s passionate about practicing 24/7, supporting awareness, investigation, and realization in daily life.

Victoria loves the Dhamma and is particularly drawn to supporting people in their practice through a focus on the integration of Dhamma into everyday life. Victoria’s approach to teaching seeks to investigate the complexity of our human experience while holding plenty of space for kindness.

Alisa Dennis, PhD

Alisa Dennis, PhD

Teacher

Alisa Dennis, Ph.D., discovered meditation through her study of ancient mystical traditions. She’s trained in Soto Zen and is most recently authorized to teach in the Theravada tradition.

She is a licensed psychologist and Somatic Experiencing practicer in Los Angeles, where she supports people as they move through life transitions.

Hakim Tafari

Hakim Tafari is a transplant from the U.K. now living in LA. He is an active runner, meditator, and student of the martial arts. Hakim is known for his love and passion for the martial arts, in particular Tai Chi Quan. He has studied and taught for over 20 years.
