Looking for a Kalyana Mitta group near you?

Below you will find information on groups that are just forming and/ or looking for new members.  If you do not see your area or interest listed below, contact our Kalyana Mitta volunteers at for advice and guidance in starting a group.

Our group meets on the first and third Thursday mornings of the month from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The first few meetings will be held in one of the facilitators’ homes in central Berkeley. Once the group is established we will rotate meetings between members’ homes. We meditate for 30 minutes, have a brief check-in focusing on our intentions and practice, take a short tea and snack break, then discuss our current reading or a topic we have chosen. At the end of the meeting we set intentions for the coming two weeks and have a short meditation. The group is open to women and men who are experienced meditators. Facilitators: Kris Muller and Anne Fitzmaurice. Please contact Anne at

San Francisco Parents Group

This newly forming KM group is primarily to support new parents, but we warmly welcome parents of children of all ages. Babes in arms are welcome. Some childcare for mobile babes, toddlers and young children can be available with advance notice. Our emphasis is on a chance to sit in community, as well as the support of a sangha. We will meditate and then share snacks and tea. Mindful parenting readings and discussion may be included. This group is a drop in, although we are looking forward to building a warm and supportive sangha based on regular attendance and an  ongoing commitment to our group.

We meet on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11am. Contact Sasha at
