Dearest Community:

Our hearts go out to our neighbors most deeply affected and the immediate conditions and unknowns they are managing moment to moment…
May all beings be safe.
May all beings be well.
May all beings be at ease.
Spirit Rock's offices, programs, and retreat center are operational in these current conditions, and our aim is to continue to serve as a dharmic refuge for all directly and indirectly impacted. Our teachers are integrating practices into their programs to skillfully support working with the mind states, emotions, and truths that arise in these conditions. Since our inner practice is in service of the outer world, through October 31st we will be donating a portion of our attendance fees to support our local communities most directly impacted by these fires. May these precious teachings support our collective care during this time. May we find equanimity amidst this challenging local, national, and global landscape. May we feel the truth of our interconnectedness.

Listen to Jack Kornfield on KQED's Forum "Learning to Let Go of Anxiety"

Uncertain times are “the perfect place to deepen the practice of awakening,” writes the longtime Buddhist teacher Jack Kornfield. Kornfield’s latest book, “No Time Like the Present: Finding Freedom, Love, and Joy Right Where You Are,” offers advice on finding freedom from worry, anxiety and want. The founder of Marin’s Spirit Rock meditation center, Kornfield joins us to discuss his new book and share what he’s learned as a longtime practitioner of Buddhism and mindfulness.
