"Mindfulness, the aware, balanced acceptance of present experience, is at the heart of what the Buddha taught.”

Selene Seltzer

Selene Seltzer has practiced meditation since 1970, tai chi and qigong since 1974 and body/mind/heart healing since 1982. Her path is one of synthesis, of Embodied Presence, by integrating the body-based practices of sitting meditation, energy bodywork, breath work, psychotherapies and the moving meditation practices of Tai Chi and Qigong. Studying with Asian and Western teachers, her foundation in Theravadan Buddhism has been strongly influenced by the non-dual teachings of Buddhism (Dzogchen, Prajnaparamita), Taoism, Tai Chi and Qigong. Her spiritual inquiry led her from the Taoist exploration of interdependency to the Heart practices of Buddhism.

Selene completed Jon Kabat-Zinn's U Mass Medical Center's MBSR Professional Training and Practicum programs, is certified in Biodynamic Cranial Touch and is actively teaching Transformation through Meditation, Tai Chi and Qigong.

When asked to describe her life, her usual reply is "It's all about heart. Having an open heart and being open to all things as both sacred and ordinary."
