"Mindfulness, the aware, balanced acceptance of present experience, is at the heart of what the Buddha taught.”

Dungse Jampal Norbu

Dungse Jampal spent five years studying Tibetan language and traditional buddhadharma in Bir, India, and now spends 100 days a year in meditation retreat in Crestone, Colorado, in order to deepen his experience of the practices of his lineage.

Dungse Jampal explores the Buddhist teachings in a natural and relaxed way, almost as if encountering them for the first time, which can be surprising (given his extensive training) and refreshing all at once. He is particularly interested in the challenges of estab lishing a practical world view for today's youth based on compassion and self-reflection. He has taught on Buddhism and Ecology/the Environment as well as on the popular topic of Mindfulness; in his case he clarifies the difference between mindfulness as a practice and mindfulness as part of a path.
