William Schroeder

William has practiced vipassana meditation for over ten years and has studied under several different teachers. He has attended retreats in California, India, and Myanmar (Burma). Throughout his practice William has been inspired by the empirical nature of meditation as an inquiry into the nature of the mind and witnessing its subtle aspects unfold. William holds a Master's Degree in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from San Francisco State University. He is in the final stages of being an MFT-intern before licensure.

William has worked extensively with children and adolescents in schools and residential treatment centers. In this work, he has enjoyed utilizing Buddhist principles to help children to develop empathy, make wise decisions, and manage difficult emotions.
