Shakthi Ganeshan

Shakthi Ganeshan is a medical doctor trained at Baylor College of Medicine and Ohio State University hospitals with a Masters in Public Health who let go of her physician career to teach and study yoga and Vipassana. In 2017, Shakthi graduated from the Spirit Rock-IMS Community Dharma Leaders program with Howie Cohn and James Baraz as her guiding teachers. She currently teaches yoga and dharma to both adults in Dharma centers and to girls and young women in youth non-profits and summer camp settings. She grew up studying the Indian lineage of yoga, and also has training in both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. She has been teaching yoga for 17 years, currently teaches 8 yoga classes per week in the Bay Area, teaching diverse populations. She has been teaching meditation for 3 years. Students value the safe climate she creates for practice.
