Chip Hartranft

Chip Hartranft's work bridges the traditions of yoga and Buddhism. He is the founding director of The Arlington Center, dedicated to the integration of yoga and dharma practice, and has taught mindful yoga & meditation in the Boston area since 1980. He is the author of The Yoga-Sutra of Patañjali: a new translation with commentary (Shambhala) and the forthcoming How The Buddha Taught Meditation. A longtime practitioner of vipassana and a student of early Indian Buddhism, Chip has taught yoga and dharma at teacher trainings across the country and sits on the board of the Barre Center For Buddhist Studies.
