Mary Mocine
Mary Mocine is a Zen priest, ordained in 1994. She trained at the San Francisco Zen Center where she held such positions as head cook, guest manager, head of the zendo and director. She left S.F. Zen Center in 1999 to serve as priest at the Vallejo Zen Center. Mary was an attorney for 18 years before becoming a priest. She now leads a dharma group and one-day sittings for lawyers as well as offering workshops and writing articles for legal magazines. Mary feels that this is useful work as she speaks two "languages," mindfulness and legal. She is interested in helping lawyers find a way to practice law that reflects their human values.
