Writing is one of our most powerful points of attention as human beings, and when we focus our attention toward the realms of the possible, then our lives become a living expression of possibility. The practice of writing is an exploration of consciousness, a practice toward deeper self-awareness, and moves us along the path of awakening to our true nature. Many of our greatest spiritual teachers from around the world were, and are writers, and we will reflect on their gifts as well as exploring our own throughout the day. From Sappho in the 7th century BC and Rumi in the 13th century to Thomas Merton, Jack Kornfield, Marianne Williamson, Pema Chodron and the Dalai Lama - the written word has the power, not only to inspire, but to awaken.
Join us for this exciting day exploring your inner and outer creativity. The day will include periods of sitting meditation, writing exercises, readings, standing meditation, Q&A, and discussion. The purpose is to explore and inspire our innate creativity and experience deeper levels of awareness through the practice of writing and listening.
Young Adults (18-26) and Seniors (65+ with limited and fixed income) are invited to attend this day for $25.
