Breathing connects us to every living being on this planet. This miracle is happening under our very noses, every moment. The Buddha pointed to awareness of breathing in and breathing out (anapanasati) as a key to liberation. We will be practicing with the breath, as well as looking into the impact our greed and ignorance have on this vital basis for all life.
Isabelita Papa will offer qigong in the early afternoon.
Please bring lunch, and if you wish, food to share/offer to the nuns. You will have an opportunity to make offerings to the bhikkhunis as part of this monastic day of practice. If you would like to bring food or other offerings, these would be welcomed by the Aloka Vihara community. You can obtain a current list of needed items by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
