Naming and embracing your life's contradictory truths and authentic paradoxes is essential to creating an inspired and effective life. Humans are inescapable storytellers, and we can hold many conflicting and contradictory stories at the same time. The elasticity of the human mind and heart is not only capable of this but seems to welcome the chance.

By embracing our life's contradictions we can understand how to work with them and find clarity, balance, and meaning within the context of our particular circumstances. By embracing the paradoxes of our lives we can become more present and fully alive for each moment in our lives in ways that allow us to actually feel and be more alive in every moment.

During this day we will enter and practice with five core paradoxes or truths, that are embedded in our daily lives:
- Know yourself, forget yourself
- Be confident, question everything
- Fight for change, accept what is
- Embrace emotion, embody equanimity
- Benefit others, benefit yourself

These paradoxes are meant to be practiced, not merely understood or studied. Through practice we can learn to clarity and shift our habits so that we are more accepting and more successful in our everyday lives.
