Konda Mason has been a student of yoga for more than 40 years. She has been teaching yoga as a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher for 20 years. She is one of the co-founders of the International Association of Black Yoga Teachers. Konda taught with Jack Kornfield at the first People of Color Vipassana Meditation retreat at Vallecitos Retreat Center in New Mexico in 1995 and has been a regular teacher at Spirit Rock retreats ever since. She is on the core teacher team of the January Metta Retreat.
Currently Konda is in the Community Dharma Leader 5 (CDL5) class at Spirit Rock, and has completed the Commit to Dharma program at East Bay Meditation Center, where she is an ex-Board member. She also sits on the Diversity Working Committee of the Spirit Rock Board of Directors. In her day job, Konda is the Co-Founder and CEO of Impact Hub Oakland, a co-working community of changemakers, entrepreneurs, activist and artists who are working to bring their projects to life in order to make positive change in the world.
