Konda Mason has been a student of yoga for more than 30 years. She is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. She is one of the co-founders of the International Association of Black Yoga Teachers. Konda taught with Jack Kornfield at the first People of Color Vipassana Meditation retreat at Vallecitos Retreat Center in New Mexico and has been a regular teacher at Spirit Rock retreats as well as her own retreats. Konda is a student of Vipassana, and is on the Board of the East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, where she teaches regularly. She has completed Larry Yang's Commit to Dharma program and is a member of the Creating Conscious Community sangha. Konda is an activist filmmaker and has presented her "Inspired Activism" workshop to local and international organizations. She is currently spearheading a team of solutionaries in the launching of Hub Oakland.
