Will Kabat-Zinn has practiced Insight Meditation in the U.S. and Burma for more than thirteen years. He has taught meditation to diverse populations, from neuroscientists at the Mind and Life Summer Research Institute to incarcerated youth in the South Bronx, Riker's Island, and Oakland. Will co-developed and teaches a mindfulness curriculum for parents as part of a long-term study on stress and cell aging at UCSF. He leads retreats regularly at Spirit Rock and at meditation centers around the country and is a member of the Spirit Rock Teacher's Council. Will lives in the East Bay with his wife and two children and leads a weekly meditation group in Berkeley for the local community. He leads a regular sitting group on Sunday evenings in Berkeley.
